Crazy fast, crazy far or just plain nuts?

Running is relative.
Casual joggers (not to mention those who don’t run at all) might think marathoners are nuts.

  • Let's see, 51days- say he does 12 hours of hiking per day, that's 612 hours - an average speed of 3.55 mph.

    3 1/2 mph is a reasonably brisk walk. Imagin doing it 12 hours a day for almost two straight months - even on a padded track that would be exhausting.
