I hope you don't mind, but I stole your first lines for my Facebook post. My (step) brother is probably the safest motorcyclist I have ever seen. He rides with all of his protective gear. Saturday he was in an accident where the person was unaware of his presence. Not sure why as she was making a left hand turn and he was oncoming traffic, and not speeding. He was hit and so hard it put a dent in his steel toe boots and broke his pelvis in 4 places. although he had a helmet, he did was unconscience (sp?) for a bit. Thankfully travellers by were a nurse and an orthopedic specialist. He will be in a rehab for the next couple of weeks, and will need to relearn to move his legs.

I just get so darn mad when I hear of motorcycle accidents where someone is unaware of their surroundings...for this reason I thought that your first lines were worth the reposting.

yes , you are absolutely right , there must be some protection wear either eyeglasses, goggles or a protective face shield when driving the motorcycle while the motorcycle is in motion
