The old sisters webpage called this beastie a 'cult classic'. I think it is because you can get brainwashed into thinking you actually had a good time doing that thing.
Slowest 12 miles that exists.
I even tried to run it with friends and it turns out that on trails at least, misery enjoys being alone. My one friend can only now (1 year later) use the words "seven" and "sisters" in the same sentence without passing out.

Hey those are some great photos of the trail on your blog!
Somewhere around mile 8 or 9, I began to think of a phrase from one of the early Rocky movies: "Ain't gonna be no rematch."
Once I finished, though, I could imagine that by next spring, I may have forgotten just how much it hurt, and want to try it again.
