    Yeah, for a fit active person, the loss of muscle can result in an overall weight loss, because muscle is denser and heavier than fat.
    Some people who train hard in the gym and are not too overweight to start, actually put on weight, thats because they lose fat but gain muscle which is heavier.
    The advantage is that you look sooo much better
